It is that time of year again! Time is the one thing we never can have enough of and the one thing that is sure to always keep moving forward. As though it could be a strong gust of wind that turns the calendar pages as we get a little older, we are getting close to that final time of yet another year. The calendar page reads the month of December and the day of December 25th. we reflect and often ask where did the year go?
It is a special time of year. Old man Winter tries his best to muster up those holiday snowflakes and cold temperatures. As we watch the weather in our area we often wonder will it be a white Christmas. Then out of the night sky, we see the first single white snowflake that begins to fall. We then notice those the hustle, the bustle of “City sidewalks, busy sidewalks. Dressed in holiday style, in the air there’s a feeling of Christmas. Children laughing, People passing, Meeting smile after smile…….”
The one thing most of us share is how busy we are during this joyous time of year and often we feel as though we never have enough time to get things done. I often see many people rushing from one place to another especially during the holidays. I was out at a few malls yesterday just to take in the holiday rush and maybe put out a few bandit signs too. I always try to multi-task whenever possible.
I would see how much in a hurry so many people were and the looks on their faces were often anything but jolly. So this holiday season take the time to enjoy the holidays, savor the holidays, reflect on Christmas past, present and future. Enjoy the company of others, the music, the food and the holiday gatherings. Create your own tidings of comfort and joy. Try to see Christmas through the eyes of a child, when you were a child and then you might be really able to live again.
So this holiday, maybe take it a little slower enjoy it a little more and BELIEVE again! If you open your heart, your mind, your soul, you may discover things you may have otherwise missed. It is important to work very hard on your real estate business but it is also very important to work hard at enjoying the holidays with your family, friends and neighbors. Time will continue to move forward and so will you! So this year, are you on the Naughty or Nice list? Better check that list twice!
