How long will it take? Are we there yet? You often feel it can be worse than trying to climb Mt. Everest in a blizzard in the middle of Winter all by yourself! You have no help, no one to guide you along the way. You might even want to ask for help but don’t even know where to start and realize most people may not offer good advice or even lead you astray.
You have the pressure of everyone watching you. You believe every step you might be making they are waiting to scrutinize you or your potential success in real estate. You often ask yourself, why can’t people be more positive or even offer a little encouragement or advice? You are determined and willing to work hard and do whatever it takes. You want to become the real estate investor you know you can be! You feel like you have the drive to succeed if only you could get some questions answered along the way to keep the puzzle of getting that first real estate deal completed.
Many people, including your friends or family, don’t want to see you get hurt because of your excitement you told people what you wanted to accomplish. They may even not want to hear about real estate because they do not share the same excitement you have regarding real estate. Again, you wonder why you can’t have someone to talk to that really understands your passion for real estate. You know how refreshing it would be to have another investor that can answer questions and even offer advice.
In life, as you get a little older you realize that everyone that you cross paths with in life does not want to see you succeed. Some people could want to see you get ahead but they definably feel like they don’t want you to get ahead of them! It is unfortunate but some people really may not want you to succeed because of envy. This game of real estate can be hard hitting but you continue to get back up, dust yourself off and get back into the game. You often hear noise from the sidelines. Some of these people, watching on the sidelines, are just waiting for the opportunity for you to get hit hard by real estate and stumble or fumble and they want to run up to you as fast as they can to tell you – “I TOLD YOU SO!” or “ I KNEW YOU WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO DO REAL ESTATE!”
You want to succeed with real estate no matter what it takes. You are committed to succeed but the biggest hurdle, thus far, might be getting that first real estate deal under your belt. If you have been struggling with real estate investing, you are not alone. Take a deep breathe it is okay because we have all been there. I remember how I would commute for 2 hours each to work in downtown Chicago. It was grueling especially in the Winter season. I knew there had to be a better way and I was going to do whatever I needed to make real estate investing work for me and my family. Yes, there were people (my immediate family) that wanted me to succeed and they had my back.
I know doing that First Real Estate Investing Deal can cause so much pressure but do not rush too much to get into that first deal. The best deal you might do is the one you walk away from. Learn to evaluate every deal on a deal by deal basis. Energy, time and effort will provide additional wisdom for you to evaluate the best deals and get that first deal under your belt. You have made so much progress you may not even realize how far you have come. You can do this! Believe and Achieve!
